Emphasizing the best attributes of designs from the 20’s and 30’s, Director of Design Giles Taylor said the “Sweptail is the automotive equivalent of Haute Couture”. The project began in 2013 when a wealthy collector came to Giles and his team. Taking inspiration from the 1925 Phantom 1 by Jonckheere, and the 1934 Phantom II by Park Ward, the press release goes into detail about the intellectual journey between the owner and the designers. “Our job was to guide, edit and finely hone the lines that would ultimately give our client this most perfect of Rolls-Royces,” said Taylor.
