The 18th Annual Riding Into History Motorcycle Concours

Riding Into History, one of America’s premier vintage motorcycle events, will return to the beautiful World Golf Village near St. Augustine, Florida on Saturday, May 20, 2017 for our 18th year. We are America’s original and longest running motorcycle Concours d’Elegance. Our Grand Marshals this year are father and son Hall of Fame motorcycle road racers Yvon and Miguel Duhamel.

The weekend starts Friday, May 20, 2017 with a Grand Marshal dinner at the World Golf Hall of Fame, featuring an interview of Yvon and Miguel Duhamel. We will also have a silent auction. Items available include two motorcycles; a 2003 BMW F650 donated by Norman Nelson and a Honda SL70 Tracker custom built and donated by Toby Jones of OtC Custom Motorcycles in Vero Beach.

On Saturday, May 20, 2017, we feature the Motorcycle Concours d’Elegance, beginning at 10 AM. This year we are “Honoring the Japanese Motorcycle. In Japanese KAI ZEN” means continuous improvement. There will also be a charity ride to the event leaving from Adamec Harley Davidson at the Baymeadows Road location.

All of the proceeds from Riding Into History will benefit the Ponte Vedra, FL-based charity, K9s for Warriors, k9sforwarriors.org. With all the help and support from our partners, exhibitors, volunteers, and spectators, last year we were able to make a $40,000 donation to K9s For Warriors. To date, Riding Into History has raised almost $500,000 for charity.

The event is presented by Riding Into History Inc., a 501(c)3 not for profit organization comprised entirely of volunteer members. Supported by several motorcycle organizations; AMCA Sunshine Chapter, BMW Motorcycle Owners of Northeast Florida (BMWNEF), Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA), Chrome Divas of Jacksonville Beach, The Historic Motorcycle Society (HMS) and Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC).

Between 300 and 350 antique, vintage and classic motorcycles from all over the country are expected to enter the Concours. We expect thousands of spectators will once again enjoy the event, which also includes exhibitors, vendors, entertainment, clubs and food vendors. Admission is only $10 at the gate for the Concours. Sponsors for the event include Philos Enterprises, Inc. Sargent Cycle Products, Adamec Harley-Davidson, BMWNEF, VyStar Credit Union, BMW Motorcycles of Jacksonville, Folio Weekly, Terk Oncology, AMCA Sunshine Chapter, Mercedes-Benz, USA, Chill Concepts, MotoEuro Garage and Jim Dohms Creative Photography.
