1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona in Silver for Sale

This excellent example of a 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona for sale has been part of world-renowned UK supercar dealer Tom Hartley’s personal collection The name Tom Hartley is synonymous with the luxury/performance and classic car sector globally. Having been in business for more than 45 years from the headquarters in Derbyshire in the U.K. from a 40-acre estate created to display their inventory in an unprecedented way. From the famous lake photo stage where cars ranging from $100,000 to $40,000,000 are literally photographed in the middle of a lake. Yes, that’s what we said, in the middle of a lake! There is also the lawn, with the beautiful country settings of the estate as the backdrop where the inventory is also photographed.

The business is now co-owned by Tom age 57 and his son Carl, age 30. There is nothing normal about Tom Hartley and the car business, those that know him will tell you so. He has a reputation second to none which is revered and respected globally and has probably the largest privately owned business dealing in cars in the U.K. that has been well featured in everything from CNN to Bloomberg, The Times, The Financial Times and believe it or not, to Playboy magazine. Tom Hartley is also one of the very few companies to be recognized by the UK stock exchange as a company to be inspired by and also nominated for the Queens Award! However, Tom has chosen duPont REGISTRY to sell one of his private collection the Ferrari Daytona as shown because he feels that they have the same principles in business, that being dedication, commitment and most importantly a reputation for being the best at what they do which is online marketing.

This example has had recent updates include the installation of electric power steering, a new battery, new tires, and rebuilding of the transaxle, as well as comprehensive maintenance. Built as a US-specification export model, the car was factory-equipped with pop-up headlamps and an external side-view mirror. Desirable features included air-conditioning and power windows.

Algar Ferrari of Philadelphia sold this Daytona new to Robert P. Minnick of Buffalo, New York; in 1976, he advertised it for sale with a custom stereo and 10,000 miles on the odometer. The Daytona’s next 28 years were spent with two long-term owners in New York and Ohio, with an approximate 37,500 miles accrued in total. Subsequent owners based in Colorado and California maintained 16447 in fine condition, as attested to by a 2005 appraisal included in the documentation. In 2010, well-known enthusiast Wayne Carini purchased the Daytona and returned it to the original Metallic Silver livery with a bare-metal repaint.
