1994 Jaguar XJ220 With 446 Original Miles At Curated

If you aren’t familiar with the story behind Curated, their mission is to research and find the rarest & most desirable cars on the market. If you thought nothing could top their Miura SV, get ready to fly the Union Jack. It took Curated over a year to find a pristine example of the Jaguar XJ220, but they’ve done it. This model was England’s answer to supercars of the early 90’s. By taking a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 from their racing program and sending to all wheels, the XJ220 is still one of the fastest production cars to date.

Jaguar spared no expense to outdo everyone else. Rear-wheel steering and four-channel ABS were rarely seen on any car from the 90’s. Turning a concept into production is not an easy task, so Tom Walkinshaw Racing was brought in to extract every ounce of power from the engine. Their efforts resulted in 540 hp and a top speed of 217 mph. Only 271 cars were built by hand from 1992 to ’94. As a foreshadowing of modern performance, the 3.5L V6 was able to offer a reported 35 mpg in an era when 12 cylinder exotics were lucky to get above 10 mpg. Just imagine what this car could do with more boost and E85 direct injection!

A glance at the odometer on this particular XJ220, car #328, reveals only 446 miles. This car is still essentially brand new, thanks to loving care from a single owner. It was purchased new by retired racer Manfredo Lippmann and was the centerpiece of his impressive collection. The car comes accompanied by books, tools, records and extra keys.

Our list of accolades for the XJ220 is longer than you could believe, so let these amazing photos remind you of a great period in automotive history. For the amazing history behind this car, head over to Curated for the details.
