Vortic Railroad Edition

A relatively new name in watches, Vortic is also incredibly unique in its approach. The watches—each one is unique—are American made and are powered by restored pocket watch movements. Making them even more intriguing is the fact that the cases are 3D printed titanium. The 51mm RailRoad Edition is part of Vortic’s American Artisan series and each watch houses an original manual wind, lever-set movement from a vintage 1880’s-1950’s RailRoad grade pocket watch made by one of the various great American watch companies of the time (Ball, Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois, Waltham). Because the movements are original and refurbished/restored, each is a one-of-a-kind piece. The titanium case, with see-through caseback, and lugs are 3D printed and hand finished. The coinedge bezel is machined from solid 316 stainless steel. Just ten pieces will be made in 2016. Retail: $3,000 – $7,000.
