2017 Ferrari F12tdf Heading to Mecum Kissimmee

Are you looking for a last-minute gift for your favorite fan of Formula1 racing? Something like this won’t be seen in years, so that’s why Mecum Auctions is pleased to offer this stunning 2017 Ferrari F12tdf at their Kissimmee event.

We haven’t seen anything like this before. Every possible connection to F1 racing can be seen on the window sticker. Starting with the paint, it is not the normal Rosso Scuderia. It is actually a triple-layer finish that was used for the race team in 2007. Rosso F1 2007 is either loaded with fine metal flake or the clear coat is colored. Probably both, since Ferraris painted in this shade seem to glow in low light situations.

On top of the finish are carbon fiber Scuderia shields on the fenders and an Italian flag on the hatch. Every piece of optional carbon fiber includes a package tray signed by Sebastian Vettel. The optional telemetry system was a $10,124 line item that records data and GPS readings to a USB drive. It can be played back through the car’s instrument panel or analyzed later on a PC.

Built to remember Ferrari’s dominance in the Tour de France races, only 799 cars were produced. Each one is armed with a 6.3 liter V12 making 769 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is mounted at the rear axles and connected to the engine by a carbon fiber torque tube. With over $92,000 in options, this car was probably one of the most expensive F12 examples to be produced. The odometer reads 1,157 miles, which tells us the solid lifter masterpiece is not broken in. This car deserves to be run-in by a collector who understands how rare it is.

Cars of this caliber are the reason why Mecum is shaking up the auction industry. Pack your bags for Orlando and join us January 5th to the 14th at Osceola Heritage Park, or make sure to tune in on NBCSN. Stay with us for complete coverage of Mecum’s 2018 season.
