The 438 Skater is the newest breakthrough in technology in the offshore CAT industry. The 438 Skater is an astonishing 12 mph faster than its predecessor, the 46 Super Sport. This new more efficient ( under 5% prop slip) and stable hull design allows the 438 Skater to be faster than the 388 Skater even though it has the same 1350 horsepower rating and is over 2,000 lbs heavier. This vessel can also be placed into a 1550 horsepower race mode, which has never been activated during its 28 hours of run time. There are two different keys that can be used depending on which mode is wanted, either 1350 hp or 1550 hp.
