First unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in February of 2006, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano boasted a stunning visual design with elegant lines, all of which assist in its keen aerodynamic abilities. Rated at 612 hp and 448 lb-ft, the engine already produced enough power for impressive performance, but for this car to truly qualify as a flagship for such a respected marque, it must go to every end possible to enhance performance by even as little as .001 seconds. As a result, 0-62 mph is achieved in 3.7 seconds, 0-124 mph in 11.0 seconds, and a top speed of 205 mph is possible.
The Fiorano of this model’s name is taken from the famed Fiorano circuit, where Ferrari takes its new vehicles out to be tested before their official release. The GTB comes from Gran Turismo Berlinetta, while the 599 refers to the engine’s total displacement divided by ten.
