Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir Stars in Mecum Monterey 2018

Heading to Mecum’s 2018 Monterey event is a very special variation of the Bugatti Veyron hypercar. Called the Veyron “Sang Noir,” this hypercar’s name can be translated from French to English as “Black Blood.” Such a dark and mysterious name matches the car’s color scheme. Bugatti created only 12 examples of this special edition model, which was inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s renditions of a starry night.

This Sang Noir’s exterior is laid with carbon fiber that’s visible through the blood-red clear coat. Inside is a beautiful red interior that filled with leather upholstery and alloy accents. Together, the exterior and interior combine to create a visual that’s befitting of the name.

For its power, this Veyron relies on a tried-and-true quad-turbocharged W16 engine. In order to unlock the engine’s full potential, a special key is needed, which will allow the driver to activate the Top Speed Mode. When pushed to its limit, the Veyron Sang Noir will run 0 to 60 mph in 2.48 seconds and eventually it will hit a top speed of 253 mph. Now those are some serious numbers, but they’re expected from Bugatti’s legendary hypercar.

Mecum is offering this example with just 3,401 miles on its odometer. Out of all 12 Sang Noir editions that Bugatti created, it’s the only one to come with a red interior. Features include Bluetooth connectivity, Airsystem automated climate control and a Burmester premium sound system. For more information, be sure to click the button below. If you would like to see it for yourself, it will be crossing Mecum’s auction block in Monterey on Saturday, August 25.
