Hennessey Performance has been building the world’s fastest cars for a quarter-century, so to celebrate the milestone John and his team built an incredible Mustang. The Hennessey 25th Anniversary Edition HPE800 Ford Mustang was first featured in the Shell Pavilion at SEMA in 2016 and created quite the buzz on social media. The HPE800 is rated at 804 hp and 648 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel thanks to a forged 5.0-liter engine and a massive 2.9 liter Whipple supercharger. Only 25 examples were produced, and this is #5 of the series. A new intake of carbon fiber was needed to supply the blower with enough air, and long tube stainless headers feed a dual 3″ exhaust system. The carbon fiber body panels are hand laid and functional, helping to keep the car planted to the pavement.

Mustang Connection have recorded a complete walkaround of the car and it’s simply amazing to see; both in motion and at a stand still, it’s a stunner. Speaking of motion, this American monster is capable of running mid 10 second times consistently while still being able to idle smoothly. The Hennessey forged H10 wheels measure 20×10″ in the front and 20×11″ in the rear. To make use of the lighter wheels, a full KW coilover (Variant 3) suspension was added. Armed with a fully adjustable ride height, they have 16 settings for rebound and 12 for compression. Just like their other builds, no expense was spared to make this Mustang one of the meanest we have encountered.
