He was the series champion in 2009, running neck and neck against Sebastian Vettel. After noticing the highlights of Lewis Hamilton, he joined team McLaren to form a dynamic duo. Not only is he is tied with Michael for all-time F1 starts he also has 50 podium finishes so far.
Being behind the wheel of McLaren’s fastest car for 7 years, he made the logical choice to purchase their fastest production model in 2015. The McLaren 675LT Spider was the first LongTail to be offered as a convertible. Under the rear deck lid is a 666 horsepower 3.8L V8. It sends 516 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels in a progressive manner. Power increases each time you up-shift the 7-speed sequential transmission.
With a curb weight of 3,016 lbs, this rocket ship was limited to only 500 examples. Since Mr. Button knows the abilities of their Formula 1 cars, this car has only been driven 493 miles. Ordered in Chicane Grey over Carbon Black, it also includes the carbon fiber racing seats, Meridian audio system, and his signature. Jenson is also including a signed race suit for the new owner.
