No. 74 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Heads to Auction

Bugatti blew the world away when the first unveiled their Veyron supercar back in 2005. Immediately, the world caught on to what https://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/results/bugattiBugatti was doing and knew they had to step their game up. Meanwhile, Bugatti was busy perfecting their own hypercar, the Veyron.

After years of refining the Veyron, Bugatti eventually landed upon their roadster version of the car, the Grand Sport Vitesse. This vehicle uses the same W16 engine and seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission as the others, but it comes in a topless version. That means in this hypercar you could hit the record-setting 254.04 mph top speed in a roadster. That’s just unheard of, although the record was set by racing driver Anthony Liu at VW’s proving grounds in Ehra-Lessien, so there was plenty of skill and road to go around (and tires).
