Pristine 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale For Sale

If you are buying a Ferrari, why not go all-in? One savvy enthusiast in San Diego decided to order a collectible, and this 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale at Lamborghini of La Jolla has every option. Taking lessons learned with the 360 and F430, the last 458 models will be remembered for the final Ferrari naturally aspirated V8.

It is also the last rear-engined Ferrari to be designed by Pininfarina. Priorities have changed in Maranello, and many Ferrari fans have viewed the 458 as the end of an era. For the foreseeable future, we will no longer hear the 9,000 rpm scream of the V8 or the classic lines that are easily identified in the distance.

This car is among the final 458 Speciale’s to be assembled, and here are just a few of its options: An exterior of Grigio Titanio is bisected by the NART stripe. Recalling the livery of Luigi Chinetti’s North American Racing Team, this car pays homage to the first Ferraris imported to the US.  An interior of 3D microfiber has contrast stitching and carbon fiber seat backs.

While the average consumer will assume the 458 Speciale is just an upgrade package for the 458 Italia, they would be severely mistaken. Starting with the engine, the compression ratio was raised to 14:1 and the cams received solid lifters. This 4.5 liter makes 596 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. This makes it the most efficient V8 ever offered in a production car.

The body is wider front and rear so it can tuck the 20″ x 9″ (front) and 20″x11″ wheels inside the rear quarter panels. It is also the first Ferrari to arrive with the 3rd generation of magnetic suspension. Each shock absorber has twin solenoids with Pulse Width Modulation analysis of the each wheel’s movements. So not only is it brutally fast, it can also be a comfortable cruiser. The power is sent to the 3rd generation of Ferrari’s active differential, and it works with torque-vectoring brakes to hold you through the corners.

This car was a significant investment by the owner and the factory, and it has only been driven 1,638 miles. Click the link below for all the details, and stay with us for more amazing inventory from Lamborghini of La Jolla.
