The 3rd annual Taste of Speed Luxury & Supercar Week, presented by duPont REGISTRY™ and BMW® Centers of Atlanta, took over Atlanta as the ultimate exclusive VIP red carpet luxury lifestyle event of 2016 not to miss. The weeklong event benefiting Camp Twin Lakes, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides year-round programs for children with chronic and terminal illnesses, kicked off on Tuesday, September 20th, setting the pace for festivities to come. An “Evening of Tequila, Cigar & Cars at Cigar City Club” in Sandy Springs – sponsored by Roca Patron, BMW®, Atlanta Xotic Rentals, Mercedes-Benz® Buckhead – lavished guests with Patron tastings, fine cigars and exotic cars.
Not to be out done, Wednesday continued the eventful week with a Tesla Ride & Drive event at AC Hotel Buckhead, then moved on to a VIP Tour & Tasting at SweetWater Brewing Company – sponsored by Roca Patron, BMW®, Atlanta Xotic Rentals, Mercedes-Benz® Buckhead, Mezlan® Shoes, J Hilburn Clothier, and Dimensional Design. Still not finished with a week of events, Friday’s BMW® Cocktail Reception at AC Hotel – sponsored by Roca Patron, BMW®, AC Hotel, Hublot Watches, Mezlan® Shoeskept – kept the momentum going with Patron signature cocktails, AND savory bites from FoodTheFire™’s Culinary Rock Star Team – Chez Montier, Eintein’s Atlanta, Red Sky Tapas & Bar, aCacaoAffair and The Sweetest Things.
Saturday’s grandeur wrapped up the weeklong event in true luxury style. For the 500+ guests in attendance, stepping onto the red carpet may have seemed like they were in for a night of indulgence fitting of the elite, but they had no idea they had the hottest ticket in town. The evening started off with walking the red carpet into a night of exotic cars, motorcycles, decadent bites from some of Atlanta’s best chefs, signature cocktails by Patron and musical entertainment from 6X Grammy nominee Ashanti Floyd, The Mad Violinist. The experience was turning out to be Atlanta’s most luxurious event of 2016. AS IF this wasn’t enough to make guests swoon with excitement, the biggest surprise of the night was yet to come.
Image Rock Live Fashion Show presented by Mercedes-Benz® of Buckhead with Rigby & Peller London Lingerie, took center stage rivaling the best fashion Atlanta has had grace a runway to date; but IRL didn’t stop there. To onlooker’s surprise, and wrapping up the fashion show, was a walk down the runway by none other than America’s, and Atlanta’s own, RIO 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist, Kristi Castlin. Sporting a fur coat from The Fur Vault, Kristi seemed to glide across the stage revealing her championship outfit worn when she and her teammates claimed their medal for the U.S.A. The crowd roared in proud amazement and appreciation when they realized that wasn’t just any piece of jewelry around her neck, but the bronze medal presented to Kristi on the podium that proud day in RIO 2016.
There is a new standard for a Taste of Speed and elegance in Atlanta; Executive Producer’s, Cindy “RODEO” Steedle and Jeff Beal, have set the bar high.
