Tesla Model S Plaid Revealed by Elon Musk: 0 to 60 in 1.99 Seconds

First production car to go 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds.

Elon Musk has just unveiled the new Tesla Model S Plaid edition and it looks to be the fastest accelerating production car in the world. With 1,020 horsepower, the new model is able to run from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.99 seconds. That figure would make it not only the fastest accelerating production but also the first production car to complete that sprint in under 2 seconds. What’s more, it was unveiled that the Model S Plaid can hit a top speed of 200 mph and it has a range of 390 miles. And, as a cherry on top, the Model S Plaid is said to have broke the record for the fastest production car in a quarter-mile, completing the sprint in 9.23 seconds. As for how much it will cost, it comes with a price of $124,490.
