Though McLaren Automotive has only released prototypes of the 570S to the public so far, it’s already drawn quite a lot of attention. From showrooms, to private viewings at Golf and Country Clubs, large crowds have drawn to see the newest McLaren.
On June 16, we discovered that a second prototype had made its way to the showroom of Dimmitt Automotive in St. Petersburg, Florida, a Ventura Orange example that was joining the Blade Silver example they’ve had on display since early April. The waiting list is already quite long for interested parties, and there’s little question as to why – Dimmitt Automotive had already sold a few before the prototype even arrived in the showroom.
Dimmitt Automotive’s McLaren branch, McLaren Tampa Bay, has partnered with Isleworth Realty before to host such events as the March 19 McLaren Ride and Drive. More recently, they hosted a premier within the exclusive Isleworth Golf & Country Club community for the 570S, where 50 guests dropped by to enjoy hors d’oeurves wine and the Blade Silver 570S prototype, as well as a red 650S. As an April 17 press release from Isleworth about the event tells us, Dimmitt pre-sold four examples of the 570S before the event had even ended.
The Isleworth Golf & Country Club is a 600-acre luxury community just outside of Orlando. Residents of this exclusive community have access to an 18-hole championship golf course, 24-hour concierge services, tennis and fitness centers and more, all surrounded by world-class security. The Butler Chain of Lakes is also directly accessible, opening water recreation opportunities year round on seven of the 11 lakes in the chain.
Introduced March 30 during the New York International Auto Show, the 570S is described as a tuned-down version of the 650S more suitable to daily driving. With prices starting at $184,900, it’s McLaren’s entry-level model, opening the marque to a new class of competition.
