Aston Martin DBX Concept at Tom Dixon’s MULTIPLEX

In a multi-floored art installation that offers conjecture about the shopping experience of tomorrow, Aston Martin sits near the entry, offering a look at the car of tomorrow.

The Aston Martin DBX Concept was introduced in March as an electric four-seater coupe with rich luxury inside. So it only makes sense that it would be the centerpiece of the MULTIPLEX’s lobby. Since Sept. 18 at The Old Selfridges Hotel in London, this “department store of tomorrow” has been providing customers with a unique shopping experience centered around a multi-sensory experience.

The mind behind this department store is Tom Dixon, the man and name behind British product design company Tom Dixon. The store will run until Oct. 15, and as a gallery shared to Aston Martin’s Facebook page Oct. 8 shares, it’s enjoyed an incredibly popular run.

“30 guests joined Aston Martin at the Tom Dixon MULTIPLEX in London earlier this week for a special insight into the world of Aston Martin design,” described the gallery’s caption, “featuring live clay modelling, leather trimming and the DBX Concept.”

After seeing how a concept is created, guests could then explore the other “stores,” which, as Tom Dixon’s website shares, includes displays from Wallpaper*, Sony, Resident, Obataimu and MOO.

Check out the gallery of Aston Martin’s display below, and watch the video above, added to YouTube Sept. 25 by tomdixonstudio1, to learn more about the MULTIPLEX project from Tom Dixon himself. When you’re finished, find an Aston Martin of today for your collection from our exclusive listings.
