Introducing the Airspeeder: Motorsport for the Skies

Do you want to know what we need in the world? A motorsport for the skies. Want to know what we now have thanks to the new Airspeeder? A motorsport for the skies.

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new Airspeeder will be unveiled as the latest evolution of racing. The Airspeeder will fly through the skies above the event as it makes its way through an aerial track.

As for the Airspeeder itself, it’s quite impressive. It’s powered entirely by 500 kW battery packs that can last up to 15 minutes. These packs send power to the four 24 kW motors, which spin up the eight 32-inch rotating blades. As for weight, it tips the scales at just 551 lbs. With that insane power-to-weight ratio, the Airspeeder can reach speeds of up to 124 mph.

Alongside the Airspeeder’s announcement is news of the new Airspeeder race series. To me, it looks like this new series will be like a combination of Formula 1 and Formula E, but for the skies. I’m in.

Be sure to check back with us after the Airspeeder makes its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 4. You can also learn more about Airspeeder by visiting their website.
