Beechcraft Denali Announced as New Turboprop from Textron Aviation

Previously branded as the Cessna Denali.

Textron Aviation has just announced that the Beechcraft Denali will be joining the turboprop lineup as a single-engine aircraft. The press release regarding the announcement notes that the new Beechcraft Denali is “designed to outperform its competition with projected lower operating costs.” Its cruise speed will be 285 knots with a full payload of 1,100 pounds and will also have a 1,600-nautical-mile range at a high-speed cruise. The Beechcraft Denali will be available with a configuration that includes six individual reclining seats, as well as an option for a more dense nine-seater configuration. Inside, passengers will enjoy the many amenities like a refreshment cabin, interior LED lighting, large windows, and an optional belted bathroom with a pocket door enclosure.

The Beechcraft Denali is close to its first flight after the first Full Authority Digital Engine Controlled (FADEC) GE Aviation Catalyst engine was installed on the first prototype airframe. Textron Aviation is expecting the first flight to take place later this year and certification to happen in 2023.
