Gulfstream has announced that their new flagship G700 has surpassed 1,100 flight hours. This milestone is just part of the G700’s flight-test program, which includes new company test regimens. So far, the G700 has also completed several other critical tests and that’s all within the G700’s first year in the program.

“Thanks to the outstanding Gulfstream team, the G700 flight-test program is going remarkably well,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “The aircraft itself has been performing flawlessly, whether going to extreme speeds and heights or running through its paces in the high-altitude environment at Telluride.”

Currently, there are five G700 test aircraft, but Gulfstream is planning on adding a completed production version in order to evaluate the interior. This is quite important considering the new G700 aircraft will have a stupendous interior that includes the industry’s largest ultragalley, a grand suite with an optional shower, six-place conference and dining table, 20 panoramic windows and an ultra-high-definition circadian lighting system.
