Sleek Design & Noble Cause: Cars for a Cure’s Limited Run Poster

In 2013, we met a high school senior by the name of Mason Watson. A fellow automotive enthusiast, he found a way to combine his love for cars and his desire to be an automotive designer with a matter very close to him. In April of that same year, he had launched Cars for a Cure, a line of shirts featuring his original designs with portions of each sale going directly to the fight against breast cancer.

“I want to carry on Cars For A Cure in her memory and spread awareness and support to women all over the world. I combined my love for cars and art, with a goal to reach something that is bigger than myself,” he told us in a recent conversation. “I don’t intend for my brand to become the next Nike of apparel, but to instead have my products stand out as the best quality, while giving to an amazing cause.”

At the time, he was still recovering from the loss of his mother to breast cancer, but he was only looking toward the future. Mason planned to attend the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, one of the only schools in the country to offer an automotive design program.

Today, two years later, he’s half way through their program and his designs are better than ever. Though balancing his studies with single-handedly running his own clothing company has been a tricky act, he’s not only managed them, but has succeeded to the point of launching new items for Cars for a Cure.

Mason introduced his limited-run poster prints in September, and for the final week of Breast Cancer Awareness month, he’s offering a pink version of his most popular design: the BMW 2002.

Only 50 prints of this design will be available, all in an 18” x 24” size, each signed by the artist himself. Orders are now open for this special design, with pricing set at $40 plus shipping. As with every item from Cars for a Cure, 30 percent of this poster’s price goes directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
