Gigawave Boat Promises Largest Wave Ever for Wake Surfing

Surfing small waves can be fun, but after a while, it can grow stale. There’s only so much you can do on a small wave and that’s why surfers are always waiting for the next big swell. When it comes to wake surfing, there’s never a swell on the horizon but instead the wake from a boat. Gigawave, however, is looking to make their own swell for wake surfers with the 350 GW-X boat. According to Gigawave, this boat is designed to create the largest wave ever for wake surfing– we’re talking just about head-high waves. With that kind of size, wake surfers will have much more wave face to work with. What’s more, this could push other boat manufacturers to create new boats with bigger waves. Powering the Gigawave boat are two 300 horsepower electric engines with an undisclosed amount of torque. As for the dimensions, it has an LOA of 35′, a beam of 10’6″ and a capacity for 28 people. That’s quite impressive. Be sure to check the video up above to learn more and also check out 2021’s best yachter charter destinations.
