Derek Jeter’s New Jersey Castle Re-Listed with Reduced Price Tag

IMP1 3

After previously listing his sprawling New Jersey estate home in 2018 for $14,750,000 and then taking it off the market in 2019, Derek Jeter again listed the property with a reduced price of $12,750,000 earlier this month. The listing is still represented by Wright Bros Real Estate, Inc. and it is unclear if any changes have been made to the property, which is a remarkable 106-year-old offering that resembles a castle.

Jeter purchased the historic Tiedemann Castle in 2003 and lovingly restored the home, to which he has familial ties. His maternal grandfather was adopted by the Tiedemanns during the 1950s and grew up on the property along with their 12 other children. Jeter spent time there as a kid, swimming, playing sports and performing household chores during the summer months.

Greenwood Lake has long attracted wealthy celebrity vacationers. The destination boarders both New York and New Jersey and located about 50 miles outside of the city. The seven-mile stretch of lake has restaurants and a laid-back, rural atmosphere.
