LeBron James Reportedly Buys $39 Million Mansion with Famous Former Owners

NBA champ LeBron James is reportedly under contract on a $39 million mansion in the exclusive Beverly Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA, according to The Real Deal. The former owner of the 1930s home was soap opera creator, Lee Phillip Bell, whose famous works include “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Real estate experts Rick Hilton and Jeff Hyland of Hilton & Hyland listed the property in mid-June of this year in cooperation with the estate of the late Bell.

According to reports, James quickly snapped up the property, which has been home to multiple famed Hollywood royalty, per the listing. The home is approached by a large motor court and courtyard, welcoming homeowner and guests to the 2.5-acre view-inspired promontory compound and 9,000+-square-foot estate. Inside are four bedrooms, two of which are suites, eight bathrooms, multiple entertaining areas and seven fireplaces.

Two detached guest houses with separate entry are also sited on the property. There’s also a screening room, setting the scene for comfortable viewing with mood lighting, plush seating and a fireplace. The pool house has two bathrooms and frames never-ending views over downtown LA. The lit tennis court is surrounded by lush greenery, mirroring the privacy of the entire estate.

This is James’ third LA County mansion purchased within the past few years. He also owns two Brentwood estates purchased for $23 million and $21 million.
