An oceanfront compound deemed the third largest in all of Palm Beach County has recently gone under contract. The home, which is the priciest ever to grace the front cover of duPont REGISTRY A Buyers Gallery of Fine Homes®, was listed in June 2020 for $79.5 million. Billionaire Oracle Co-Founder, Larry Ellison, is said to be the home’s new owner.

Ellison reportedly purchased the immense mansion from Gabe Hoffman, the founder of Accipiter Capital Management. Hoffman has owned the main parcel of the estate since 2012, which he purchased for $17.5 million and expanded to 7.94 acres. Ellison also owns the majority of an entire Hawaiian island, which was said to become his primary home during the pandemic.

Spanning more than 15,000 square feet, the Palm Beach estate home boasts 520 feet of private sandy beach and panoramic ocean views beyond. Its Tuscan-inspired design is adorned with high-end finishes, including colorful wall murals, hand-stenciled pecky cypress ceilings, arched doorways and a sweeping wrought-iron staircase.

The home is privately gated with a 24-hour guard and is one of the few Florida homes equipped for private helicopter landing. Nestled in the exclusive Seminole Landing community, the home is just minutes from Seminole Golf Club, world-class shopping and dining, full-service mega-yacht marinas and Palm Beach International Airport.
