Pierce Brosnan’s Malibu Mansion is Listed for $100 Million

Pierce Brosnan, who has starred in four of the James Bond movies, and his wife Keely Brosnan, a filmmaker, have listed their 12,500-square-foot Malibu mansion for a staggering $100 million this week. Following the success of Brosnan’s fourth Bond film, Die Another Day, the couple commissioned their dream home on the same plot of land where they were currently living in a smaller ranch-style residence. Over the next ten years, the current estate was constructed.

Designed by architects Ralph and Ross Anderson and built by Albino Construction, the Southeast Asian aesthetic was reportedly inspired by Brosnan’s time in Thailand shooting his fourth Bond film. The resulting residence and its guest house sit on more than an acre of land with 117 feet of beach frontage. The home has been lovingly titled the “Orchid House” to reflect its landscaping, which also includes lush palm trees and gardenias.

The view-inspired home capitalizes on its wide water panoramas with large windows and glass doors facing the Pacific. The main living area opens out onto the beachfront deck, which encompasses several seating areas, two glass-enclosed dining areas and a fire feature. There’s also a saltwater pool with a waterfall. Weather-resistant teak adorns much of the interiors with a green clay tile roof resembling the temples in Thailand.

There are five bedrooms and 14 bathrooms throughout the main house and guest house: two suites on the main level of the main house, as well as a guest room upstairs. The master bedrooms is a real show-stopper spanning over 4,000 square feet with two bathrooms, a large sitting area and its own deck. A private office is also on this level.

Downstairs, homeowners can entertain in the soundproof theater and bar. The lower level also has a gym, music room, spa and two soaking tubs. The property also has a two-car garage.
