After dabbling in the world of motorsports as a sponsor, the Jordan brand reimagined the Air Jordan XIV with inspiration from some of Michael’s favorite Italian specs. Since the debut of the famous all-red pair based on the Ferrari F355 and 550 Maranello, sneaker and car enthusiasts have been awaiting the day of a re-release. The Jordan Brand is now proud to announce the upcoming release of the new Air Jordan XIV ‘Ginger’, a modern take on the original low-cut basketball sneaker from 1998.

The Air Jordan XIV ‘Ginger’ receives its name from the vibrant yellow nubuck finish, which features Jordan shield emblems that match the prancing horse badging on each Ferrari model. The bottoms and heel portion of the special edition Air Jordan XIVs include a rubber tread print, mimicking the pattern of a performance tire looking to take on any circuit in its path. Along with the AJ XIV, the automotive-inspired sneakers also include the Air Jordan VI (Porsche 911), Air Jordan XVII (Aston Martin), and Air Jordan XXI (Bentley Continental GT Coupe). The new Air Jordan XIV Ginger is set to release in-store and online on August 17th with a price tag of $200.
