Tesla empowers the P90D with 713 lb-ft of torque, which is instantly available to all four wheels. The Lamborghini Aventador is also All Wheel Drive with 508 lb-ft, but this power is only found above 5,000 rpm. Tesla has no transmission, so it offers the same power in almost every situation. Lamborghini’s 7-speed automatic is geared to unleash the full power of the V12 above 120 mph, a severe disadvantage to drag racing. So what happens when efficient electrons encounter a raging V12?
