Hennessey Venom GT Just Became The Fast Convertible In The World

Back in 2014, Hennessey Performance made history when the Hennessey Venom GT clocked a record-breaking top speed of 270.4 mph. To mark their 25th Anniversary, Hennessey Performance is breaking records again.

At the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, Texas, The Hennessey Venom GT Spyder charged at a top speed of 265.6 mph down the runway, setting the world record for an open-top sports car. The new record tops that of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Vitesse set in 2013 at 254 mph. The time was verified Racelogic, an independent testing firm.
