Showcasing a design inspired by a 50th Anniversary model, this Royal Oak Chronograph features a complete black ceramic construction that shimmers and glistens in direct light. A unique aspect of the watch is its satin-finished deep blue dial, which replaces the signature Trapisserie guilloché dial. The titanium sapphire backcase of the Royal Oak presents commemorative engravings, which includes a blackened 22-carat gold oscillating weight that reads “Unique Piece”. After intense bidding between multiple individuals, the one-of-a-kind Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph sold for an incredible $1.1 million. Net proceeds from this auction will go towards the critical mission of the One Drop Foundation to ensure sustainable access to safe water for all, improving the health and well-being of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
