The suitability of this remarkable Grand Seiko quartz movement to the international traveler is enhanced by the addition of a GMT hand.

The interest behind tool watches expand upon the goal of executing a simple task in the most basic way, assisting professions that range from airline pilots to world-class free divers. One of the most popular watch configurations in the industry is the GMT, an early design that allows the user the ability to simultaneously track two different time zones using a second hour hand. The team at Grand Seiko is proud to release two GMT variations to its collection, featuring the new SBGN027 and SBGN029. Each GMT takes shape in a 39mm case design crafted from stainless-steel, which includes a matching fixed 24-hour bezel that helps to set the GMT function.

Although the two versions of the new Grand Seiko GMT highlight an almost identical construction, their dial designs are what adds a sense of personality to each piece. The SBGN027 presents an elegant and traditional black dial with bright white markers, while the SBGN027 showcases a beautifully blue dial with white indicators and a vibrant red GMT hand/logo. The engine that drives the Grand Seiko GMT is an in-house Caliber 9F86 Quartz movement, powered by a battery that provides a 3-year lifespan. The new Grand Seiko luxury GMT watch collection comes fit on a polished stainless-steel bracelet with a matching folding clasp. The new GMT releases from Grand Seiko are currently available through an authorized dealer with a price tag of $3,300.
