Developed to assist scientists, Omega’s Marstimer offers a range of valuable tools for those working in the field of space research.

While some luxury watches solidify themselves as historic examples, no others carry significance quite like the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. Originally released in 1957, the Speedmaster quickly gained traction within the aeronautical industry as a watch that could withstand an immense amount of abuse. Since making its mark as the first watch on the moon, Omega is proud to work in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) on its newest Speedmaster journey to Mars. OMEGA’s Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer is everything the name suggests, a unique 45mm titanium chronograph equipped with a highly precise thermo-compensated quartz movement.

Catching the attention of watch collectors, its Red Hematite aluminum bezel highlights inspiration from the surface of the mysterious red planet. Its classic black dial provides a contrasting backdrop for the multiple analog and digital readings, made even clearer by Earth and Mars symbols to distinguish which particular functions are in use. Delivering power to the Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer is Omega’s in-house 5622 Caliber, responsible for operating functions such as MET (Mission Elapsed Time), PET (Phase Elapsed Time), alarms, and perpetual calendar. A covered backcase displays intricate engravings of the Speedmaster logo, along with etchings that signify its ESA certification. The Speedmaster X-33 Masrtimer comes available on a traditional stainless-steel bracelet or comfortable nylon strap. The all-new Omega Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer is currently available through an authorized dealer for $4,800. Check back into duPont REGISTRY for more upcoming luxury watch news and releases.
