The Excalibur Collection welcomes two new all-black variations.

While the art of timekeeping presents the wristwatch as a traditional tool, manufacturers continue to enhance its design and technology with innovative efforts from engineers. Roger Dubuis solidifies itself as a brand that follows its own beat, creating one-of-a-kind luxury timepieces that incorporate a vision or story behind each example. Roger Dubuis is proud to conquer the use of ceramic with two new radiant editions, the Excalibur Double Tourbillon and Excalibur Monobalancier in black ceramic. Demonstrating its technical and horological supremacy, Roger Dubuis’ ceramic is solidly black inside and out, four times harder than stainless steel. Roger Dubuis welcomes its new era of black by highlighting its watchmaking abilities through two of its most famous models.

Excalibur Double Tourbillon Black Ceramic

Roger Dubuis

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Double Tourbillon features a 45mm case design crafted entirely of black ceramic, achieving a sense of 3D depth from its clean-cut lines and strong visual identity. The skeleton dial magnificently presents its double tourbillons, with the Roger Dubuis star levitating freely above the barrel. Roger Dubuis’ in-house RD108 movement aims to deliver a lighter construction to enhance its precision while providing an impressive 72-hour power reserve when the watch remains in its case. Keeping a balance between delicate and durable, Roger Dubuis fits the new release with a black calf-leather strap and versatile Quick Release System. The all-new Roger Dubuis Excalibur Double Tourbillon Black Ceramic is limited to only 28-pieces and is currently available with the price upon request.

Monobalancier Black Ceramic

Roger Dubuis

The second model to receive the all-black treatment is Roger Dubuis’ Excalibur Monobalancier, an updated example that first debuted during Watches & Wonders 2022. After mechanical and aesthetic improvements, Roger Dubuis presents the 42mm timepiece in a case design similar to its Double Tourbillon twin. The dial layout portrays the Roger Dubuis Star in a more prominent sense, using the micro-rotor and balance wheel as the design focus of the contemporary timepiece. The visionary engineers and watchmakers multiplied its technical enhancements to push the performance of the automatic RD 720SQ movement to its maximum, increasing its power reserve to an impressive 72 hours. An embossed black calf-leather strap featuring a patented Quick Release System ensures ultimate versatility while offering a perfect color match for the new ceramic black case. The Roger Dubuis Monobalancier Black Ceramic is currently available through an authorized dealer for $67,500. Check back into duPont REGISTRY for more upcoming luxury watch news and releases.
