Especially here in the United States, lovers of wagons and similar cars often feel underappreciated here in an automotive industry that instead tends to opt for SUVs to serve their purpose. However, BMW has come to save the day in the form of its new Concept Touring Coupé, which has celebrated its global reveal at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Italy’s Lake Como. The elegant one-off hopefully has a place in BMW’s future lineup.
Its silhouette should remind BMW fans of the similar 1 or 2 Series models, with the new one-off being much bigger. However, BMW has set out to create a stunning grand touring driving machine, with its shooting brake body and Poltrona Frau leather interior to evoke high automotive luxury. While many automotive enthusiasts wouldn’t be surprised if this stunning vehicle was a one=hit wonder, BMW have shown love for wagons recently with the introduction (at long last) of the BMW M3 Touring. Hopefully, the introduction of this beautiful one-off is a hint at future BMW shooting brakes.
