Maserati updates its electric SUV for a new year.
The anticipated introduction of the Maserati Grecale a few years ago marked the opening of a new chapter for the historic Italian luxury manufacturer. However, the model’s initial launch as the brand’s second SUV preceded an even bigger change for Maserati: the Maserati Grecale Folgore, which eventually emerged as one of the first all-electric models to wear the legendary Trident.
Now, the Grecale Folgore has been thoroughly updated for the 2026 model year, and those updates have made the all-electric luxury performance SUV better than it’s ever been. Greater efficiency and improved autonomy are the biggest highlights of the Grecale Folgore’s improvement for 2026, and the entire Grecale lineup alongside it has been updated with added colors and finishes from the Fuoriserie program, both for the interior and the exterior.
Enhancing the efficiency of the 2026 Maserati Grecale Folgore, a new AWD-Disconnect System has been added to the BEV SUV. With it, power only goes to the rear wheels when the functionality of all-wheel drive isn’t required, reducing the energy consumption of the Grecale Folgore, and increasing its range to roughly 360 miles. Transitioning between rear and all-wheel drive with the system takes only 500 milliseconds, using a seamless process that optimizes energy savings.
In addition to that system, the 2026 Maserati Grecale Folgore also features an improved version of its EV Routing, a feature of the navigation system that takes battery life into account and routes with charging stations. Dynamic Range Mapping shows the driver the maximum distance available on the map, adapting based on driving habits for the most informed trip planning for drivers yet. With its technology and luxury thoroughly improved for a new model year, the new 2026 Maserati Grecale Folgore is the greatest expression of the luxury Italian electric SUV yet.
