Aston Martin’s highly anticipated supercar is finally here.
For over a century, Aston Martin has been known and celebrated for its iconic lineage of British luxury performance vehicles, which feature timelessly elegant design, artisan craftsmanship, a plethora of luxurious features, and of course, raucous, thrilling performance ability. However, an unprecedented Aston Martin creation has been anticipated for the past few years, specifically the Valhalla, Aston Martin’s first plug-in hybrid and its first series production mid-engined supercar.
Now, the Valhalla is finally here, with full details about the high-performance vehicle now revealed and production set to begin in the second quarter of 2025. The Valhalla is limited to 999 units, and Aston Martin dubs it the “ultimate drivers’ supercar.” Being the first series production Aston Martin to boast all-electric driving range, its mid-mounted engine is also the first use of a new bespoke 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, and the 8-speed DCT in the new Valhalla is also being used for the first time.
With nearly 817 horsepower, the new 4.0-liter engine is the highest-performing V8 engine in an Aston Martin yet. Add three electric motors to the mix, two of which drive the front axle and one of which is part of the transmission, giving the Valhalla hybrid all-wheel drive, and the total power of the new Aston Martin Valhalla rises to a staggering 1,064 horsepower, with 811 lb/ft of torque. Translate those power figures to targeted performance, and the Aston Martin Valhalla is looking at a 0-60 time of just 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 217 mph.
Thanks to painstakingly lightweight construction and highly advanced active aerodynamics, the Valhalla is a blindingly quick and incredibly dynamic supercar, while retaining Aston Martin’s signature elegance and beauty. A fresh design language maintains many of Aston Martin’s most important cues and features while signaling that the Valhalla is a high-performance British luxury machine from the future, with its radical mid-engined layout, dihedral doors, and an eye-catching roof snorkel. Finished in either painted or exposed carbon fiber, it’s easy to see that the Valhalla has incredible performance potential.
The new Aston Martin Valhalla interior combines Aston Martin’s signature British luxury with inspiration from the pinnacle of racing: F1. This duality echoes the versatility of the Valhalla itself, which can drive on pure electric power and combine electric and combustion power for the ultimate efficiency and performance.
One-piece carbon fiber seats provide comfort, support, and racing readiness, while thoughtful design touches like the Amphitheater Line and high-tech systems make the vehicle excellent to drive on both the luxury and performance fronts. Through Aston Martin’s Q bespoke division, the interior is a blank canvas for luxurious expression and stunning craftsmanship. Q can also turn a Valhalla into a truly unique one-off for its customers.
With racing prowess and luxury in equal measure, the Aston Martin Valhalla is be different from every Aston Martin production vehicle that’s come before it by being a mid-engined, plug-in hybrid supercar. Still, it’s simultaneously the ultimate expression of Aston Martin’s philosophy of creating high-performance luxury vehicles with signature British flair.
