Audi has just dropped two teaser images of the next-generation Q3. The compact luxury crossover segment is one of the most fiercely contested markets in the auto industry, and the Audi Q3 has been at the forefront in this space since it first launched in 2011. It is one of the Ingolstadt-based brand’s most popular models and has sold over two million units globally over the past decade.
While models like the BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA have undergone recent makeovers, the current second-generation Q3 has been around since 2019 and is starting to show its age. But Audi is now set to strike back as it will unveil an all-new Q3 next week on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 3:30 PM EDT.
“With the third generation of the Audi Q3, we are renewing an important model family as part of our product initiative.” – Gernot Döllner, CEO of AUDI AG
The shadowy teaser images don’t reveal much aside from a pixel LED cluster of what appear to be high-mounted daytime running lights. The side profile view shows the main headlight sitting lower in the front bumper, along with a sharp crease line on the hood, fenders, and round wheel arches. Expect a revised front facia with a larger single-frame grille similar to what we’ve seen on the Q5 facelift. The Q3 has always been closely tied to the Volkswagen Tiguan. The upcoming model should be no exception, opening the possibility of plug-in-hybrid powertrains found on the latest Tiguan, alongside a gas-only model.
On the production front, Audi is facing pressure from the recent import tariffs introduced in April by President Donald Trump. The German automaker is planning to move some production of some models to the United States, most likely at VW’s Chattanooga Plant in Tennessee. Given the Q3’s popularity in the U.S., it seems like an ideal candidate to be manufactured in America.
