The Audi Group witnessed a robust performance in H1 2023, delivering 919,548 vehicles across Audi, Bentley, and Lamborghini brands, marking a 15.3% rise compared to the same period last year. With increased deliveries primarily in Europe and the USA, the Group’s revenue grew by 14.4% to $37.6 billion, yielding an operating profit of $3.7 billion.
The Audi brand celebrated its best-ever June, with a total of 182,075 vehicles sold. In H1 2023, it delivered 75,647 fully electric models, marking a substantial 51.2% growth from H1 2022, thus indicating the successful performance of its electrification strategy. Growth in the USA and Europe has been remarkable, with 30% more deliveries in the USA and over 24% in Europe compared to the previous year. This upward trend has also been observed in China, where deliveries have grown by 2%.
Hildegard Wortmann, Audi’s Sales and Marketing Board Member, acknowledged the Group’s strong growth in all major sales regions. A 16% increase in deliveries to Audi customers in H1 2023, particularly a 50% surge for electric models, reflects the Group’s successful journey towards sustainable premium mobility.
Bentley, Lamborghini, and Ducati brands have significantly contributed to the Group’s H1 performance. Despite slight decreases in Bentley’s deliveries and revenue, Lamborghini and Ducati showed improvements in both deliveries and revenues. In line with its ambitious 2030 return on sales target of around 14%, Audi aims to continue improving its product profitability, focusing especially on electric vehicles.
