Bentley’s historic revival makes an important journey.
The Bentley Blower is one of the most iconic and historic racing machines in the British luxury brand’s century of history. Today, it’s been revived both as an authentic, period-correct recreation of the car, and as the Bentley Blower Jnr, a collaboration between Bentley and the Little Car Company, an 85% scale recreation of the historic car, which is powered by a 20-horsepower electric motor with an anticipated 65-mile driving range.
Despite its modern electric powertrain, the car uses authentic building techniques and parts, like a leaf-spring suspension with friction dampers. 700 parts were used in building the handcrafted machine, and it has recently undergone a durability test, geared towards the holiday season given the opportune time.
The full testing program will consist of 5,000 miles of driving in 3 continents, but it started with a daunting Christmas task in Switzerland for Bentley and the Little Car Company’s joint Christmas party. With Christmas trees being hauled by supercars being a popular sight to see on social media, Bentley and the Little Car Company decided to have their Blower Jnr do the same, and it passed the test with flying colors. With Christmas trees being hauled to the party by the new Bentley Blower Jnr, the anticipation builds to see the first production examples come 2024.
