Bentley Mullliner’s bespoke luxury reaches new heights.
Bentley’s Mulliner division is rooted in the history of the world’s oldest coachbuilder and capable of a wide range of automotive luxury feats, from bespoke features to one-off cars, coachbuilt limited-series productions, and recreations of historical models. However, Bentley Rancho Mirage, a Southern California Bentley dealership, commissioned a new Bentley Mulliner creation that shows off some of its greatest bespoke craftsmanship abilities.
A collection of four bespoke Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertibles, the new ‘Expressions of Texture’ collection shows the range of Mulliner’s diverse and impressive ability to create ultra-luxury masterpieces. The designs of all four cars are inspired by the iconic and beautiful Palm Springs area of California, the place that Bentley Rancho Mirage calls home. Stunning desert landscapes and vast skies served as inspiration for the bespoke designs.
Each car is finished in Mulliner’s satin paint, a finish that requires up to 55 hours of work to achieve. Other gorgeous features include paper-thin veneers of 200 million-year-old stone and blind-embossed upholstery reminiscent of the landscape of California’s beautiful Coachella Valley. The Peacock Blue Satin car is inspired by the night sky, with blue-tinted satin carbon fiber enhancing the look. Another car is finished in Ghost White Pearl Satin, with hundreds of hours put in its bespoke quilted upholstery inspired by the desert dunes.
The mountains of the valley inspired the Havana Satin car, with blind quilting representing the topography of the iconic Death Valley. Other warm colors like the Burnt Oak and Cognac upholstery, Bronze accents, and Copper Stone veneers enhance the mountainous inspiration. All four go to great lengths to artistically echo the Southern Californian desert’s natural beauty, each being a painstakingly crafted ode to a different aspect of the Palm Springs area. Showing off Mulliner’s incredible talent and Bentley Rancho Mirage’s hometown, this bespoke collection of Bentley Continental GTC Speed cars is truly an ultra-luxurious statement.
