Bentley has officially kicked off a new chapter in India with the opening of two brand-new showrooms in Mumbai, the nation’s financial capital on the west coast, and Bengaluru, the country’s tech hub in the south. For the prestige brand, this move represents a reconnection with a market that has admired British automotive craftsmanship for over a century, now making Bentley’s full range of ultra-luxury performance models available.
The Mumbai showroom is situated within The Galleria at the iconic Trident Hotel, just off Marine Drive, while Bengaluru’s facility is housed inside the Indraprastha Invictus complex, upscale locations in both cities that closely follow Bentley’s global retail design language. The extensive range of available hand-crafted materials on offer and digital configurators will allow buyers to personalize every detail of the vehicle, assisted by a dedicated sales and aftersales specialists trained to Bentley’s international standards.

The goal is to create a boutique ownership experience where everything from commissioning to servicing reflects the same precision and care that goes into every Bentley built back in Crewe, England. The lineup now available includes the Bentayga, Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Continental GT Convertible.
This expansion, however, isn’t Bentley’s first brush with India as the brand’s connection to the country stretches back to the days of the Maharajas, many of whom actually owned bespoke Bentleys and Rolls-Royces that were custom-built for royal households. During the pre-independence era (before 1947), Bentleys were symbols of status and power, often seen alongside other prestige British marques in palace garages.
Fast forward to more recent times, and Bentley entered the Indian market in 2003 through private importers. Those early operations made models like the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Mulsanne available to India’s elite. However, the operations lacked a fully structured retail network. Additionally, India’s high import duties (often exceeding 100 percent on fully built luxury cars) made Bentley ownership exceptionally expensive. That, combined with complex homologation and certification requirements, discouraged expansion beyond a niche presence. That’s what has changed now.
The 2025 relaunch marks Bentley’s first factory-backed retail and aftersales presence in contineIndia, supported by Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) which has had a presence in the country since 2001, Infinity Cars Private Limited, and Kun Premium Cars Private Limited. Besides Bentley, the VW Group has a pretty substantial presence in India, selling several brands including performance marques like Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini. It also manufactures and exports Skoda and Volkswagen cars.
India’s deep cultural ties to the UK and its fast-growing luxury segment make it a natural home for Bentley. Brand Director Abbey Thomas added that luxury is as much about the experience as it is about the car and these new showrooms deliver exactly that. For India’s affluent, Bentley’s return is about heritage coming full circle, once again giving a new generation of buyers access to bespoke builds and high-end automobiles.
