Bentley’s journey to electrification is off to a thunderous start.
The most efficiently Bentley ever, the Flying Spur Hybrid, has just been certified as such with its incredible plug-in hybrid technology and V6 gasoline engine . The vehicle is able to achieve a driving range of 500 miles with the total combined system. 26 miles are able to be driven on pure electric power alone. The Flying Spur Hybrid also boasts the lowest CO2 emissions for a Bentley at 75g per kilometer of CO2 emitted. Bentley also says that the 2.9-liter V6 with its electric motor can achieve a total of 536 horsepower and 553 lb/ft of torque, and that this power allows the hybrid efficiency to be achieved without compromising the spirited performance of the Bentley Flying Spur.
Along with the Bentayga Hybrid, the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid is the next step in Bentley’s process of transitioning towards manufacturing electric vehicles. The entire model lineup will have hybrid options by 2024, and the first all-electric Bentley will be introduced in 2025, with a fully electric Bentley brand being realized by 2030.
