Porsche 918 Spyder Destroys McLaren 650S Spider in Drag Race

At the Palm Beach International Raceway this past weekend, a battle of the spiders/spyders occurred. The combatants? A Porsche 918 Spyder and a McLaren 650S Spider.Sure, the 650S is an amazing car, coming in with a twin turbo 3.8-liter engine that puts out 641 hp. But, those numbers won't stand up against the  918 Spyder and its hybrid powertrain that produces 887 hp.If these numbers aren't enough for you, you can watch the video of the two battling it out on the drag strip. I won't say who won, but DragTimes.com believes this was the "quickest real world 1/4 mile pass at a drag strip for 918 Spyder" and the "quickest completely stock McLaren on factory provided OEM tires". Check it all out below. 918 Spyders For Sale | 650S Spiders For Sale

Unlikely Drag Race: Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 vs Porsche ...

Why would anyone pit a Porsche 918 Spyder against the Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0? Because they can. YouTuber PRonTheRoad recently filmed this very drag race and shared it with the world via YouTube Oct. 15. You can see this video right below. (Also Read: V8 Engine Drag Race: AMG GT vs 458 Italia and Vantage) The Diablo VT 6.0 was introduced right at the start of a new millennium, packing a massive V12 engine that produced 550 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. On the other side of the track, running alongside this Italian monster, is the 918 Spyder. Powering this hybrid hypercar is a 4.6-liter V8 engine that runs in cooperation with two electric motors, for a total output of 887 hp and 944 lb-ft of torque. There's most definitely a huge power gap between these two, but that still didn't stop the drivers from facing off. (Source: YouTube) More Lamborghini News
