With the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix, an unnamed team member has tested positive for the virus. In order to keep the action going, the next race in Bahrain will take place online. This is a new era for motorsports as Formula 1 launches their virtual Grand Prix Series.
Drivers will compete on the official F1 2019 PC game, developed by Codemasters. The race has been cut in half to only 28 laps, and it will be hosted by Gfinity Esports Arena starting at 4PM Eastern Time on Sunday.
