Gunther Werks Reveals Latest Turbo Commission Inspired by a Greek Mythology Disney Character

Gunther Werks unveiled its latest Turbo-based commission, dubbed “Hercules”. Showcased via a recent post on Instagram, this latest build draws inspiration from the legendary character and the protagonist in Disney's 1997 animated film, based on the Greek mythological hero. The exterior features a color-shifting finish that transitions between deep red and brown depending on lighting. The interior draws from Hercules’ iconic blue cape, which serves as a contrast against the earthy tones of the exterior. Blue accents run throughout the cabin, while brown leather covers primary surfaces. Alcantara has been used on high-contact areas for grip, while the dash includes a custom trim panel featuring subtle Greek-inspired detailing. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Gunther Werks (@guntherwerks)   Power comes from a Rothsport Racing-built 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six that produces 840 horsepower, while a full carbon fiber composite body keeps curb weight just over 2,750 pounds, offering up a power-to-weight ratio of 0.305 hp/lb that places it in hypercar territory. For some context, that is Bugatti Chiron territory. Based out of Huntington Beach in Southern California, Gunther Werks continues to evolve its lineup predominantly based on the 993 platform.  Built in extremely limited numbers to maintain exclusivity, these cars are highly bespoke with extensive customisation options. The Coupe and Speedster programs are both limited to just 25 units. The F-26 program, with over 1,000 horsepower and 935-inspired styling, is limited to 26 units, whereas the GWX program remains capped at just three examples. The GW9 offers an eight-piece precision-crafted carbon fiber aero kit for the 992.1 Turbo S. These cars seldom come up for sale, but a GW Speedster dubbed “Mystique” is currently up for auction on duPont REGISTRY Live (If you're interested in financing this car or another exotic car, be sure to get pre-qualified). What makes it particularly desirable is that Porsche itself never pursued the Speedster bodystyle for the 993 generation as a series production model. A one-off Sonderunsch commission for Porsche collector Luca Trazzi, shown at the Quail in 2024, pursues this unique configuration. View All Gunther Werks For Sale  Images: @guntherwerks

Singer Headlines 2026 Goodwood FoS Central Feature

Each year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world’s most highly anticipated automotive events, with vehicles of all kinds taking on the iconic hill climb, and premieres and showcases of the latest and greatest in the automotive industry. The Festival of Speed is an event that is impossible to miss for enthusiasts, whether in person or through online recaps. This year, none other than Singer Vehicle Design will have the esteemed privilege of headlining the Central Feature display at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Known for its restomodded Porsche 911s that combine the classic charm of the 964 generation with bespoke design, high-tech features, luxurious appointments, and compelling purist performance, Singer’s Reimagined Porsche 911s have become collector-grade masterpieces across the globe. The firm was founded in 2009, and since then, its various programs, like the DLS, Classic Turbo, DLS Turbo, and the recent Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer all showcase its unique ability to combine vintage approaches with modern engineering excellence, which is why Singer will be displayed prominently in front of Goodwood House at this year’s Festival of Speed. Beyond just the Central Feature, Singer will also be present at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the form of its stand, in front of the Stable Yard, as well as at the Supercar Paddock, and in action on the hill climb track. Showcasing its evolution from 2009 to now, Singer is bringing iconic California engineering to England for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in a big way for 2026. Theon Design's New Air-Cooled 911 Has Better Power-To-Wei...

Air-cooled charm meets performance that rivals Porsche’s modern pinnacle. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of the most impressive track-ready performance machines that the manufacturer has ever produced, with an incredible amount of power squeezed out of its naturally aspirated boxer six-cylinder engine, as well as highly advanced weight-saving techniques and aerodynamics. However, Theon Design, a specialist in creating bespoke commissions based on the 964, one of the most beloved air-cooled generations of the Porsche 911, has managed to eclipse the GT3 RS’s power-to-weight ratio with its latest creation. The new car from Theon Design is the firm’s lightest and most powerful 911 comission yet, with a 4.0-liter flat-six air-cooled engine that manages to muster a robust 421 horsepower. While that figure is much less than that of the latest 911 GT3 RS, what makes that power so meaningful is the fact that the new Theon Design commission, which was built for a US-based customer over the course of 18 months, tips the scales at just 2,450 pounds, thanks to its F1-grade carbon-kevlar body. With the 964 donor car completely stripped down to create this incredible performance machine that combines the best of the old and new world of Porsche 911s, only the doors are steel, preserving the iconic feeling of opening and closing the doors of an old-school Porsche 911. Meanwhile, the engine is placed low in the engine bay, optimizing weight distribution to 46:54, despite the rear-engine configuration of the 911 not catering to optimal weight distribution on its own. A special six-speed manual gearbox provides performance and purist feeling, while carbon ceramic brakes and advanced suspension give modern confidence along with the car’s vintage charm. As far as cosmetics, the car is finished in Azzuro Thetys Metallic, with leather upholstery and trimming throughout the interior indicating luxury craftsmanship and the bespoke nature of the commission. Recaro CS seats with leather-trimmed hard backs combine luxury with motorsport potential, and a JL Audio system with a bespoke setup and a power-deploying Alpine head unit helps continue the combination of modern luxury and old-school charm. With incredible power and lightweight construction, Theon Design proves that the air-cooled Porsche 911 still has plenty of performance merit. Image Source: Theon Design

TECHART Enhances 992.2 Carrera Lineup With Visual And Pe...

The complete rollout of the 992.2 generation of the 911 is yet to happen, but we’re already beginning to see the aftermarket get their hands on the most tech-focused variant of  Porsche’s legendary sports car. The latest to do so is German tuner TECHART, which brings its signature blend of motorsports aggression and tailor-made craftsmanship to three Carrera models: Base, Carrera S, and the hybridized GTS. The TECHART program for the 992.2 results in a comprehensive transformation, one that touches everything from aerodynamics to engine performance and interior materials.  The exterior Aero kit reimagines the iconic 911 silhouette with a modern twist. Components are either made of lightweight carbon-fiber or PU/GRP: aero fenders, hood, side mirrors, side skirts, and three spoiler options, with the front splitter and rear diffuser tailored to Carrera and GTS configurations, respectively. Every part is available either in glossy or a matte carbon finish and helps to significantly enhance the 992.2’s subtle visual updates. The ductail-style Heckspoiler III available for the 992.2 GTS, in particular, is a nod to classic 911s. Inside, TECHART’s in-house saddlery has further customised the 911's cabin with stitched Alcantara, bespoke perforation patterns, along with a diverse pattern of leather and carbon-fiber finishes on the trim pieces. Even the steering wheel has been reworked with custom materials and optional 12 o’clock markers.  Beyond the visual bits, TECHART also brings a performance boost to the base Carrera, taking power of the 3.0-liter flat-six from 394 to 504 horsepower, while torque is up by 73 pound-feet over the standard car’s 332 pound-feet. The system integrates seamlessly via the factory drive mode selector and maintains full compatibility with Porsche’s assistance systems. The Carrera S and GTS will be next in line to receive these performance enhancements, with development in the final stages. Also, no powertrain upgrade is complete without a proper soundtrack. TECHART offers a dynamic valved sport exhaust system that alters the sound profile based on the drive mode selected.  Complementing the powertrain's boost is TECHART’s own adjustable coilover suspension and Nose Lift system, allowing for better daily drivability, even when running on an aggressively lowered setup. Overall, these upgrades from TECHART should not only elevate the 992.2 experience, right from the base model, but also help to make it your own and stand out from the crowd. Pricing information is expected to follow as availability expands. View All Porsche 911s For Sale Source: TECHART

TECHART Unveils New 1-of-20 MONOCHROME For 911 Turbo 50th...

TECHART celebrates the Porsche 911 Turbo’s 50th anniversary with a unique creation. The “Turbo” moniker has described top-of-the-line performance-oriented Porsche models for 50 years. Going beyond simply describing the inclusion of a turbocharger, the “Turbo” level of a Porsche model describes peak performance and luxury, even extending to all-electric models like the new Macan Electric Turbo and the Porsche Taycan Turbo lineup. However, when it originated 50 years ago, the Porsche Turbo name originally designated a turbocharged engine, first introduced in the 911 Turbo half a century ago. With 50 years of Porsche Turbo legacy to celebrate, TECHART, a prolific creator of Porsche-based custom performance cars, is ringing in the historic anniversary with a new, highly exclusive limited-edition model. That new model is the MONOCHROME, based on the TECHART GTStreet R, which itself is based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S. The MONOCHROME is limited to 20 units, making it a collector-grade, highly exclusive celebration of Porsche heritage. With over 800 horsepower and a top speed that eclipses 217 mph, the new TECHART MONOCHROME is the ultimate expression of Porsche Turbo performance from TECHART. In addition, it features a custom interior crafted in materials like leather, carbon fiber and Alcantara to enhance its luxury performance ethos. The customizations continue to include features like a set of 21 and 22-inch wheels, which are lightweight, strong, and improve brake ventilation. With its various customizations and the fact that it builds on the already exclusive and excellent TECHART GTStreet R, based on the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo S, the new TECHART MONOCHROME is not just one of the most exclusive and highly desirable TECHART custom Porsche creations yet. It’s also a masterpiece that celebrates the monumental 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911 Turbo and the incredible Porsche Turbo legacy it spurred.
