Hennessey Unveils New Goliath 700 Silverado

The Chevrolet Silverado is one of the most popular and celebrated full-size pickup trucks on the American automotive market, and it’s just the type of vehicle that Hennessey is known for transforming. Building a reputation for performance expertise over decades, Hennessey is known for record-breaking hypercars as well as its customizations of American icons. The latest based on the Chevrolet Silverado is the new Hennessey Goliath 700, which adds massive amounts of power to the truck’s 6.2-liter V8 engine thanks to supercharging and other upgrades. The highlight of the custom truck is its twin-screw supercharger, which uses air-to-water intercooling and Hennessey engine management calibration to increase the power of the 6.2-liter V8 by 66 percent, going from 420 horsepower to a massive 700. The torque goes from 460 to 611 lb/ft. However, other upgrades are present in the new Hennessey Goliath 700, including a BDS suspension upgrade and Multimatic DSSV shocks, and Hennessey design touches in carbon fiber, as well as badging, add a distinctive look that sets the truck apart. With a 4.2-second 0-60 time, the Goliath 700 accelerates faster than the stock Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 by 1.4 seconds, and customers can purchase the upgraded truck via Hennessey-authorized Chevrolet dealers at an MSRP of $139,950. With a limited production run of just 100 examples, the new Hennessey Goliath 700 Silverado ZR2 also enjoys a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. Continuing to do what it does best, Hennessey Performance has emerged with yet another incredible high-performance truck. View All Chevrolet Silverado For Sale <- Gallery -> Image Source: Hennessey

The SVE Powerhouse Under David Hamburger

Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) engineers automotive legends. For over five decades, SVE has stood as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the Second-Stage Manufacturing world, a journey that began in 1970 when founder Ed Hamburger turned a passion for NASCAR and NHRA dominance into a global performance empire. From the iconic Firehawks and WS-6s of the 90s to today’s world-crushing 1,000HP YENKO/SC® super-trucks, SVE has always been the gold standard for "factory-backed" adrenaline. Company History and Evolution The Beginning: Ed Hamburger started in 1970 with performance parts for Chrysler race cars and later founded Hamburger's Oil Pans, which became a dominant supplier in NASCAR and NHRA. SLP (Street Legal Performance): Formed in 1987, this company (which evolved into SVE) was the first to develop a 50-state emission-legal integrated performance package for the 1988 Camaro and Firebird. GM Partnership: In 1992, the company began producing limited-production specialty vehicles sold through GM dealers, eventually manufacturing over 55,000 units, including the Camaro SS, Firehawk, and WS-6. Transition to SVE: After selling its performance parts assets (SLP) in 2013, the company was renamed Specialty Vehicle Engineering to focus entirely on vehicle manufacturing and its own proprietary centrifugal supercharger systems. Today, the torch of this high-octane dynasty has been passed to David Hamburger, who has taken the helm to lead SVE into a new era of absolute performance dominance. Under David’s visionary leadership, SVE isn't just maintaining the status quo—it is shattering it. David has spearheaded a technological revolution within the company, moving beyond traditional upgrades to master the complexities of modern Direct Injection and proprietary centrifugal supercharger systems that are 50-state emission legal. Key Innovations In-House Superchargers: When GM introduced Direct Injection engines in 2014, SVE developed its own centrifugal superchargers rather than using existing designs, allowing them to offer OE-quality, 50-state emission-legal performance upgrades. Expansion Beyond GM: While primarily focused on GM (Silverado, Tahoe, Escalade, Corvette), SVE has also developed supercharged packages for the Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Challenger/RAM under the "Hamburger's Specialty Vehicles" (HSV) name. The "sizzle" under David’s command is undeniable. He has aggressively expanded the brand’s footprint, bringing the "YENKO" name back to the forefront of the American psyche with breathtaking projects like the 1,250HP Twin-Turbo C8 Corvette and the world’s fastest street-legal Silverados and Tahoes. By combining his father’s relentless commitment to OE-quality engineering with a modern, aggressive "more-is-never-enough" philosophy, David Hamburger is ensuring that SVE remains the apex predator of the performance market. When you sit behind the wheel of a modern SVE vehicle, you aren't just driving a truck or an SUV; you are experiencing the culmination of two generations of Hamburger family genius, refined and perfected for the next century of speed. Watch John Hennessey's First Drive In His New C8 Corvette...

Keeping this one in his collection, the C8 Corvette Z06 is sure to be pushing some extra power soon. Always at the forefront of performance engineering, Hennessey Performance prides itself on being the first to upgrade modern Amercian muscle cars with horsepower-gaining packages. Often the first to receive some of the most desirable sports cars on the market, this is also the case for Chevrolet's all-new C8 generation Corvette Z06. Debuted as the first Corvette Z06 to feature its updated mid-engine configuration, it remains one of the most anticipated automotive releases of the year. Now that the Corvette's most powerful platform is in the hands of Hennessey Performance, Founder John Hennessey takes the Z06 out on the manufacturer's private test track in Sealy, Texas. John takes to the cockpit to share some initial opinions of his personal C8 Corvette Z06 (Z07 Track Pack) as he gets some heat in the tires with a warm-up lap. Alongside the excitement of taking delivery, John Hennessey explains that his team of passionate fuel-driven professionals has already developed a series of upgrade packages for the C8 generation Corvette (Non-Z06). The Z07 Performance Package for the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 includes aerodynamic upgrades, carbon-fiber elements, and Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires, elevating the sports car's track capabilities to a whole new level. A few straight-line sprints and launches prove to John that it's a true track star, as he even notes its resemblence to the Ferrari 458 Italia. With time and testing, it'll be no time before Hennessey Performance is arms deep in the C8 Corvette Z06's engine bay unlocking some extra horsepower. Hennessey Performance currently offers a range of supercharged and twin-turbocharged upgrade packages for the current naturally-aspirated C8 Corvette lineup. SVE Unveils 800 HP 2021 Yenko S/C Silverado

Chevrolet has built an amazing truck in the new 2021 Silverado. It can be had with plush interior options and a reliable 5.3-liter (325 ci) V8. Should you want the most power, they offer a de-tuned version of the Camaro's 6.2-liter LT1, but it is optimized for towing. Since 1990, if you want a GM product with incredible power, your dealer turned to Specialty Vehicle Engineering. What began as SLP, the team of engineers in Toms River, NJ have delivered over 65,000 performance vehicles to GM dealers around the world. As a Tier-1 supplier, they often solve problems and supply solutions that automakers can't seem to tackle in-house. As such, this 2-way street allows them proprietary access to test and upgrade vehicles long before they are formally announced. What you see here is just such a project. Starting nearly a year ago, the 2021 Yenko S/C Silverado was dissected in the virtual realm to see how much power it could reliably offer. While their Yenko S/C Camaro can easily make 1000 horsepower, a proper truck still needs to be able to haul toys, tools, kids, and groceries without worry, and without being uncivilized. Therefore they scaled up their own centrifugal supercharger that is offered on the GMC Syclone along with an Air-to-Water intercooler. Under it lies a handbuilt 6.2 with forged internals and CNC-ported heads. This would be a death sentence to a stock transmission, so they upgrade the clutch packs and add their own torque converter. The blower has a planetary reduction instead of helical gears, so it doesn't waste horsepower when boost is not needed. SVE also builds their own long-tube headers and a full stainless exhaust to give each example a deep rumble without rasp or drone. Their commitment to quality also includes their beefy sway bars, progressive springs, and a 2"/5" drop. Not only does it look imposing, but it will also attack corners with the utmost composure. It can be had with 2WD or 4WD, sending power to SVE 22"x 10" wheels in 3 optional finishes. Brembo brakes measure 16.1" up front, and the calipers can be painted any color. You will have 800 horsepower and 720 lb-ft of torque backed by a 3 year/36,000 warranty. Available to order and to be serviced at any Chevrolet dealer, SVE is only building 50 examples. As always, you will see all SVE news here first, so stay with us for the world's fastest Chevrolets. Visit SpecialtyVehicleEngineering.com

2021 GMC Syclone Combines 750 Horsepower & AWD, Limited t...

GMC took on the world by adding an intercooled turbo to their smallest truck. The first generation Syclone has had a dedicated following for three decades, and their pleas were answered last year. Specialty Vehicle Engineering (formerly SLP) has built over 60,000 cars, trucks, and SUVs for General Motors. As a Tier-1 supplier, their engineers solve problems and deliver niche cars that wouldn't be profitable for GM. I explained their modus operandi in our July issue, so click the link below for all the details. Discover the Cover-July 2020: American Muscle Edition With SVE The 2020 Syclone made its world debut at our Cars & Coffee, and it was also the centerpiece of our display at Amelia Island. It packs 455 horsepower from a supercharged V6 with optional 4WD. For this year they upped the ante by replacing the 3.6-liter with a 5.3-liter V8. Utilizing the same block found in the 6.2-liter Sierra and Silverado, they chose to build a forged 5.3-liter bottom end along with a meaty cam & ported heads. Like the V6 version, the supercharger is their proprietary design that doesn't load the crankshaft when boost isn't needed. Other standard equipment includes their own 13.6" brakes, solid sway bars, full-length traction bars, and All Wheel Drive. Driving the V6 model around Clearwater and Amelia Island was a blast, so expect a full review when the V8 arrives. Click the button below to reserve yours and stay with us for all your SVE news. Tuscany Unveils Satin Steel Black Ops Silverado

Nothing beats the style and quality of a Tuscany truck. Starting with the latest in Fox Racing suspension, they offer the only truly coach-built pickups. The Black Ops edition has been an unprecedented success, so they have decided to take it to a new level. In my humble opinion, a metallic gray is one of the few colors that looks imposing in sunlight or in the shadows. That is why the Satin Steel Black Ops Silverado is really tempting to me. Their paint shop only turns out a few dozen trucks each year, so the quality is an order of magnitude better than any assembly line. Every surface is color sanded and buffed to a mirror shine, and each truck is numbered to set it apart from any lesser imposter. As with the normal Black Ops, it will arrive with: 20″ Tuscany Custom Black Ops Wheels 325 BFG KO2 All Terrain Tires Tuscany Custom Red Brake Caliper Covers BDS System w/ Rear Fox 2.0 Shocks Tuscany Exclusive Red Front Sway Bars Powdercoated Suspension Two-Piece Powder Coated Black Mesh Grille Tuscany Premium Front Bumper Replacement with LED bar and 2 LED Cubes Induction Hood Tuscany Fender Vents Active Air Fender Flares Black Ops Body Cladding with Badging Tonneau Cover with Bed Rug XL Power Running Boards with Rock Sliders and Lights Tuned Stainless Steel Exhaust Exclusive dual Merged Satin Black Powder Coated Exhaust Tips Limited Edition Number Plate Tuscany Custom Leather Seating Package (RST Chassis Only) Black Ops Custom Leather Seats Flag Patches on Headrest “Black Ops” Logo Embroidered Floor Mats Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Kit Deep Tinted Windows 3 Yr / 36,000 Mile Warranty As a division of Fox Factory, only Tuscany can offer such a potent design with only the best parts. Hennessey Goliath 700 vs Stock Silverado

Walk into any Chevrolet or GMC dealer and you can leave with a great truck. Because the 6.2-liter V8 shares 99% of its parts with the C7 Corvette and the Camaro, you will have 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. While these are fine in a car, modern trucks are twice the weight that a standard cab pickup we grew up with. With all the safety, luxury, and connectivity, they could use a bit more power. My 68 Chevy C10 short bed had no options, and it was fast, even by modern standards. To achieve that level in a new truck, John Hennessey and his team have worked their magic under the hood. Once the intake and valve covers are off, the tiny stock camshaft is tossed in the scrap pile. In its place is a new cam ground to a unique specification. It retains stock drivability while making use of incredible boost. Also in the trash can is the intake manifold, replaced by a 2.9-liter supercharger. It has a dedicated cooling circuit with a heat exchanger added in front of the radiator. All of this is covered by their 3-year 36k warranty. If you want to go all-out, the optional upgrades are: GOLIATH OFF-ROAD STAGE 1 PACKAGE • GOLIATH Front Bumper• 5 LED Lights in Front Bumper• 20 inch Hennessey 10-Spoke Wheels• 35 inch Toyo Off-Road Tires• 6” Lift Kit (*depends on trim level)• Hennessey & GOLIATH Exterior Graphics• Professional Installation• 3 year / 36,000 Mile Limited Warranty ADDITIONAL UPGRADES • GOLIATH Diamond Stitched Interior• GOLIATH Ram Air Hood• Brembo Front Brake Upgrade• Stainless Steel Cat-back Exhaust System• GOLIATH Rear Bumper• Retractable Electronic Bed Cover• Upgraded Electronic Fold Out Steps To see how a Goliath compares to a stock Silverado, turn up the sound and get ready for the action. Transform Your 2020 Silverado or Sierra Into a Hennessey ...

Ford fans have been singing the praises of the VelociRaptor for years. You can't deny the power and abilities, but what about the other guys? Call me whatever you want, but I will always see the USA in my Chevrolet. If you feel the same way, why not transform your Silverado or Sierra into a Hennessey Goliath? You can't deny the 420 horsepower offered by the stock 6.2L V8. It is adequate for most, but capable of much more. Our favorite Horsepower Evangelist has previously offered the "Excorcist" and "The Resurrection" Camaros has now unleashed a potent Philistine. Send your truck to Sealy, Texas and it will return with a 6" lift kit, 20" Hennessey wheels, and 35" tires. The front bumper is fabricated from plate steel and integrates LED aux lighting. Many would be happy with that as is, but the secret sauce is saved for last. After removing the intake manifold and camshaft, the team installs a 2.9L supercharger and a new camshaft ground to John's proprietary lift and duration. The best part is that the packages are sold separately. If you want the aforementioned Stage 1 Offroad package, it can be had without the engine mods for only $14,950. For 700 horsepower and a 3- year warranty, the engine package includes: • 2.9 Liter Supercharger System• High-Flow Intercooling System• High-Flow Air Induction System• Custom HPE Camshaft• Chromemoly Hardened Pushrods• Crankcase Ventilation System• HPE Engine Management Calibration• All Necessary Gaskets, Fluids & Hardware• Professional Installation• Chassis Dyno Testing• Road Testing – Up To 200 Miles• Serial-Numbered Dash Plaque• Serial-Numbered Engine Plaque• Shell V-Power 93 Octane Gasoline• Shell Rotella RGT Synthetic Oil• Hennessey Embroidered Headrests• Hennessey Exterior Badging• GOLIATH 700 Exterior Badging• Supercharged Badging• 3 Year / 36,000 Mile Limited Warranty That is a ton of time and hardware for only $26,995. Like all Hennessey Vehicles, the Goliath can be ordered new from any Chevrolet or GMC dealer, so click the button below to view all the details and stay with us for all your Hennessey Performance news. 2020 Chevrolet Xtreme by SVE

Chevrolet designed the Colorado to handle anything you can throw at it. As one of the most popular mid-size trucks on the market. Sure, they could have dropped a V8 into it, but the 3.6L is a smooth & reliable V6. We know that it can handle massive boost, clearly evident in the Cadillac ATS-V. To that is why Ed Hamburger and his team have unveiled the 2020 Chevrolet Extreme by Specialty Vehicle Engineering. 2019 GMC Syclone Unveiled at duPont REGISTRY Cars & Coffee Ed is a legendary drag racer who retired to build street-legal cars & trucks with more power and styling than the factory thought possible. The brains behind the Pontiac Firehawk and the 96-02 Camaro SS, his most recent achievement was the revival of the GMC Syclone. After patenting a new supercharger, both the Syclone and the extreme offer 455 horsepower, 425 lb-ft of torque & All Wheel Drive. The blower uses a vicious drive to remain silent while providing incredible boost. Other goodies include full-length ladder bars, massive front & rear sway bars, and a 2"/5" drop kit. SVE's optional brakes measure 13.6" and they easily fit under the standard 20x9 wheels. Just like the Syclone, the Extreme is 50-state legal and backed by a 3 year/36k warranty. Serviceable at any GM dealer, they put the fun back in midsize trucks! Check out their latest builds in our booth at the Amelia Island Concours, we'll see you there!
