More About Bugatti
Any fan of Bugatti’s cars will be familiar with the hose that Bugatti’s unmistakable hypercars are often photographed in front of: it’s Château Saint Jean, the historic home of the Bugatti brand that Ettore Bugatti himself bought and renovated, specifically to welcome customers to the lifestyle that Bugatti offers as a brand. Today, it serves the same purpose for a select few, and one of Bugatti’s most prized clients got a special visit.
His special collection consists of incredible cars, prominently the Veyron Super Sport, Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, and the Chiron Super Sport 300+, all in their World Record Editions in black and orange. His dream to bring those cars to their home came true when the cars were brought over along with a Veyron Pur Sang and a Divo from the Singh Collection of Punjab, India. Le Mans winner Andy Wallace, who drove the Chiron Super Sport 300+ to break the 300-mph production car speed record, as well as Pierre-Henri Raphanel, who drove the Veyron Super Sport to a record-breaking speed, both came to Molsheim to meet the collector.
The cars were all hand-signed by Achim Anscheidt, Bugatti’s Design Director, with Wallace and Raphanel both signing the World Record Edition cars that commemorated the speeds achieved with them behind the wheel. In return for the experience, the collector brought a gift, the one-of-one La Bouteille Noire, created in collaboration between Bugatti and Champagne Carbon and inspired by the La Voiture Noire, which will be at the Château temporarily for visitors to admire.
