Enzo Ferrari is without question one of the most significant names in the history of the automobile. Although we associate the Prancing Horse mostly with its road cars today, Enzo was, above all else, a racer. He started out as a racing driver for Alfa Romeo in the 20s and eventually led its racing division.
Ferrari went on to build his own road cars in the 40s after the end of the second world war and continued doing so until his death in 1988. The vehicles he developed during those four decades have gone on to become some of the most valuable and influential in the auto industry.
To honor the man and the brand he built, the Petersen Automotive Museum will exhibit a collection of these vehicles in its "Maranello Masterpieces: The Legacy of Enzo Ferrari" exhibit. The vehicle's featured range from the 1947 Ferrari 125 S, the brand's first road car, to modern icons like the 2004 Ferrari Enzo and the 2017 Ferrari F12 TDF.
Alongside the many cars on display, the Petersen Automotive Museum will also feature unique photographs and artwork detailing the brand's history. This latest exhibit opens this Sunday for Father's Day, and tickets are currently on sale at the museum's website
