Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911, Porsche Design has launched the unique Chronograph 1 - 911 S/T in unison with the all-new 992 generation Porsche 911 S/T, limited to just 1,963 pieces. This milestone timepiece is reminiscent of the legendary 911 S/T 2.4, a race-ready variant that captivated Porsche enthusiasts in 1970. The Chronograph 1 is handcrafted at Porsche's watch manufactory in Solothurn, Switzerland, exclusively for owners of the new Porsche 911 S/T. Echoing the DNA of the first Porsche 911 and the original Chronograph 1, both designed by Prof. F. A. Porsche, the Chronograph 1 - 911 S/T marries optimal functionality with the highest standards and precise craftsmanship.
The chronograph's uncoated, sandblasted titanium case reflects the lightweight concept of the 911 S/T. The black dial and bezel ring emulate the 911 S/T’s historic display instruments. Other notable features include the red number “60” on the minute scale, a glowing phosphorous green bilingual day and date display, and a silver-printed gear-shift diagram. The COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.240 movement with a flyback function powers this timepiece, replicating the performance of the 911 S/T's six-speed manual transmission and high-revving naturally aspirated engine. The rotor, visible through the seven-layer antireflective sapphire-crystal case back, echoes the design of the 911 S/T's sport alloy wheels. The Chronograph 1 - 911 S/T is available to owners from Porsche Centers and Porsche Design Stores starting August 2, 2023, and retails at $13,500.
