Radford's triumph was backed by a captivating engineering spectacle. The Type 62-2 Pikes Peak Edition, boasting a 710HP supercharged 3.5L V6 DOHC engine, sprinted from 0-60 mph in less than 2.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 160 mph. Complementing the powerhouse was a featherweight dry body of just 1,898 pounds, achieved via a full carbon composite monocoque. Apart from the engine, the Radford race version flaunted extensive modifications.
